Press Release Body = Daughters' Circle features authors and other experts who grew up without their fathers discussing the importance of daddies in girls' lives. Much has been made about the importance of fathers to sons; but fathers are equally, if not more, important to their daughters. Participant will learn why. Further, they will have the opportunity to discuss their own relationships with their fathers and what they believe fathers bring to their daughters' development into whole, healthy women. They will discuss what happens when fathers go absent, and they will examine the symptoms of the Fatherless Woman Syndrome. Daughters' Circle, part of the Relationship Building and Outreach Project of The National Daughter-Daddy Reunion Tour, seeks to arrest and prevent problems associated with father absence including teen pregnancy, juvenile violence, and low academic achievement.
Bridge Work, offers daughters 13 and older and fathers, a safe place to discuss issues related to absence. It also helps to guide them, using facilitators, through the process of reconciliation when they choose to reunite. Often fathers wants to reconnect with their daughters but don't know how. This yearlong series of monthly meetings offers tools and strategies for effecting successful reunions.
Daughters' Circle and Bridge Work are free. School officials interested in having an expert speak to their students and individuals interested in joining the support group may call 202.232.0780 or 202.232.0781. Please visit us at www.estherproductions.com
